Who is Ambe Melvis?

Ambe Melvis is the founder of Melsome Consulting, a Finance and Management consulting firm serving Small and Medium-sized Entities (SME). Her areas of expertise span across Bookkeeping, Financial Reporting, Strategic Planning & Analysis, Auditing & Financial control, Taxation & Consultancy, Payroll Management and Business Process Improvements. These accounting areas are vital for business efficiency, operational excellence, & sustainable profitable growth.

She is also the Co-founder and Deputy General Manager of MABBS Company Ltd, a Cameroon based agricultural firm serving it’s clients with healthy mature chicken.

Melvis is an ethical, organized and resilient Financial Consultant, Auditor and Entrepreneur with 7+ years of experience within the Financial Services & Consultancy industries.

Away from work, Melvis is a relationship coach who mentors singles in their efforts at nurturing mutually fulfilling relationships.

She is a Certified relationship counselor by the KEW Training Academy accredited by Complementary Therapists Accreditation Association (CTAA) and Dominion Singles and Married Academy (DSMA) International. She also enjoys playing the piano.

Qualifications

Melvis holds a First-Class honors BSc. Degree in Accounting from the University of Buea, Cameroon. She is certified by ACCA in International Financial Reporting, International Auditing, and Accounting & Business. Certified by the IICFIP in Forensic Investigations & Audit, Associate Certified Public Speaker by CELBMD Africa.

She is currently pursuing an Executive MBA in Strategic Finance Management with EMAS Business School, Russia.

She is also undergoing a Certification in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies with Harvard Business School.

Experience

During Melvis’ early years of responsibility gained, she served as Financial Auditor for Deloitte & Touche West & Central Africa for 5+ years. She was Finance Manager at Bold Entrepreneur Ltd for over 1 year and currently SYSCOHADA & IFRS Financial Reporting Manager at Energy of Cameroon SA.

She has acquired broad knowledge that permits her to drive her clients’ growth with in-depth skills of the SYSCOHADA & IFRS compliance norms. With broad exposure to Cameroon’s Financial, Commercial & Regulatory governance principles as well as key local market drivers.

Her experience coupled with her ability to manage culturally diverse teams, adapt quickly to fluctuating & challenging environments and to consistently exceed targets, enables her to strategically place you above your competitors.
